notes: Multiple 1870s sources, including Deseret News ward directories (1873-03-19 p.8) and May 1876 Stake Conference (MS 1876-06-19) list only one St. George Ward. Were 1st-4th dependent districts? By 1877, they had separate schools, Relief Societies, Sunday Schools, YLMIA/YMMIA, but were still under a single presiding bishop and United Order, and likely still met together on Sunday. At the 1877 Priesthood Reorganization, presiding bishops were eliminated, and the wards became clearly independent congregations.?
assertion #3055940 by bplewe on 2020-12-06: confidence 50%.
notes: EH has conflicting boundaries, but original sources are clear that the Tabernacle block and the next block west stayed in the 4th Ward after 1877
