description:Two branches were created in this area, the Union Branch in northern Pike County, and the Moroni Branch in southern Brown County. These were combined into the new Zoar Stake in February 1841, with President Levi Gifford and Bishop James Brown. In May, about the time that the First Presidency de-authorized all outlying stakes, Priddy Meeks was sustained as bishop of the Moroni Branch. There is no record of the branch/stake after this.
