PRO: 1. ar-en is an easy mistranscription to make; 2. several people are listed in both branches interchangeably, including a president and bishop. CON 1. Primary sources aren't easy to pin on mistranscription: they knew the branches, and the handwriting is clearly spelled.

"Centerville Branch": President Ezekiel Lee, Bishop Gardner Snow

notes:Was this distinct, or just a misspelling of Carterville? They were both in the same vicinity, many people are listed in both places, there are a few clear transcription errors (ar/en is an easy mistake in script), and there is at least one obvious instance of Carterville being called Centerville. Other references to Centerville, however, are very distinctly spelled. Maybe there was a temporary effort to rename the branch? The Journal History of the Church reference gives two leaders that are listed in Big Spring on Mosquito in High Priest records; could these be the same settlement/branch?
