description:Never a large settlement, Heberville was usually a cooperative agricultural "company," with professional farmers from St. George. Unfortunately, Virgin River diversions were frequently washed out, and the Great Christmas 1861 Flood washed it out completely. Another attempt 1863-1867 also washed out, followed by a new operation under the United Order of 1874, rebranded Price City. Eventually, the canal from Washington was built to this point (stretches of which can still be seen in modern Bloomington)
