description:Zenos Gurley was on a mission to the Natives of Wisconsin when he was asked to preach to some old time saints in Lafayette County. He stayed with his old friend, Samuel Moses Fretwell by the Yellowstone River. The David Wildermuths lived on the next farm and lost their oldest son in a farm accident. Zenos preached the funeral and the family asked his to continue preaching in the area. A branch was organized and met alternately at the David Wildermuths and in Horners Digging (Zarahemla/Blanchardville) at the school house of the Kline family. They had 32 members and served as headquarters of the “new Organization” from 1852-1858. After the reorganization, most families moved away to Richland County or to the west and Lamoni, Iowa to gather with other church members. Tent meetings were continued into the 1860’s<br/>1895 J. w.
