description:Elder Joseph Argyle baptized the first convert at Totty's Bend in March 1877. Between then and October of the same year he baptized a total of 12 people. Some time that year he organized them into a branch, and "ordained Jonathon H Totty an Elder and set apart to preside over the branch." The branch continued until 1884 when the Totty Family emigrated to Colorado.
