description: Some histories say that the Pembrokeshire Conference was dissolved and a new South Pembroke conference created when North Pembroke Conference was created in summer 1851. However, the conference leadership continued unchanged in the south, which retained most of the branches, and the name "South Pembroke" did not start to appear for another year. Thus, we are considering this as a continuous organization.
