description: Phineas Wright went on mission to South Grove, Sharon in 1846 and reported visiting the Parmer Settlement. The branch was presided over by Caleb Hall and brother Stiles from Beloit met him in the branch. There were 10 members in 1847. Another visit in June of 1849 to the Duty family was made by James Strang. Strang went from Pramers settlement south to Beaverton, Illinois. “George Pramers’ son, Fremont P. Pramer was a popular farmer in Sharon. Mr. Pramer was born on January 16, 1863, in Sharon township. He is the son of George H. and Melvina (Clapper) Pramer, the former born in Carlisle, Schoharie county, New York, August 11, 1828, and when a child he came with his parents and eleven brothers and sisters to Walworth county, Wisconsin, settling in Sharon township.” History of Walworth County Wisconsin, by Albert Clayton Beckwith, publ. 1912.Members: Hugh Briggs, Caleb Hall, Christian, James, George, and Hatie Pramer, Dutys
