description: James Strang died July 9, 1856, and three of his wives, Betsy McNutt, Sara and Phoebe Wright, moved to Jackson County. They settled on Hall's Creek in 1856 and started a grist mill and several sawmills at Wrightsville, named in honor of Benjamin Wright, an Elder of the Strangite church. The group at Wrightsville denounced the Strangite sect.?
