description: Elder James A. Carpenter debates during the summer months in Brown City, in which place he resides. Elder John J. Bailey did some labor in and around Brown City; and also Bro. John Most, who had been ordained an elder. James A. Carpenter held another debate with an Adventist in Brown City which resulted in good for the cause. All told, by the present missionary force, about forty were baptized within the last six weeks. Brown City, June 13, conference Bishop George A. Blakeslee chosen to preside; Williard J.
