description:This area was originally settled in 1862 by Zerah Pulsipher, with his sons John and William and son-in-law Thomas Terry, to graze the herds of St. George residents. The original ranch was at a spring east of the later site of Enterprise near Holt Canyon. In 1863, the Pulsiphers established a second ranch at Moroni Springs (now Terry Springs), at the head of Shoal Creek Valley. During the Black Hawk War of 1866, a single fort was built between them, becoming the new townsite of Hebron.
