description: William Kelley ministered in Lake Crystal in 1876 with hopes of developing a branch. Daniel Crane, postmaster reported a baptism and Kelley wrote a letter requesting Duncan Campbell be sent to do missionary work in the area. On October 30 Crane wrote: “the Saints are all well here. We have a prayer meeting every Sunday afternoon, and feel refreshed thereby, we have the Holy Spirit in a measure; but we have heard no preaching for some time. We ought to have some, for there are some honest ones investigating, and they want to know the right way; some, too that would add a good deal of strength to our number. We hope that Bro.
