description: Organized by B. H. Roberts on Sept 12, 1881 with William Gwyn ordained as a Priest to preside. It had 13 members when it was formed. By March 1882 there were 30 members. Baptism kept pace with emigration until 1884 when violence against Mormons elsewhere in Tennessee led many members to emigrate west. By 1888 the branch, which had been renamed the Wilson County Branch, was finally dissolved when 12 members moved west in a single year.?
