description: One of the earlier wards in the St. George area, Grafton Ward originally included all of the settlements to its east, as far as Long Valley and Kanab. Bishops Franklin W. Young (1861-1862), Anson P. Winsor (1862-1866). When settlements were consolidated during the Black Hawk War, it was merged into the Rockville Ward.
